MS Sensation Hits Willemsbrug in Rotterdam
On the Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam, six empty containers have fallen overboard as the container vessel the MS Sensation hit the Willemsbrug. Authorities suspect the captain made an error in judgement. Below a video made by RTV Rijnmond.

Costa Allegra Towed by Fishing Boat
After losing its propulsion after a fire in the engine room, cruise ship Costa Allegra has now reached the port of Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles. The ship was towed there by French fishing boat Trevignon. Below a video of the ship being towed by the fishing boat. In the video, the Seychelles Tourism Board also gives some information about how they will receive passengers and crew.

Fire Onboard Irish Ferries
With the kind permission of the Marine Engineers Review (MER), SWZ Maritime publishes an article on the fire onboard Irish Ferries' vessel Oscar Wilde in February 2010. The fire was caused by incorrect diaphragm material. Below a video of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) responding to the fire and two of the vessel as it sails today.
