Lauch of the First Super Green 8500
Last week, Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Ltd. launched Yno YZJ2010-931, the Vectis Eagle, the first vessel of the ‘Super Green 8500’ type for Carisbrooke Shipping. It is the first Chinese shipyard to launch a vessel with a Groot Cross-Bow.

The concept of the Groot Cross-Bow is tested in the HSVA Hamburg towing tank. The vessel's design proved to be very efficient in waves. Slamming is reduced significantly.

8500 MPC with Groot Cross-Bow
As was reported in Maand Maritiem in SWZ Maritime (edition 7/8 2011), Super GreenShip has ordered four Groot Super Green 8500s (8500t multipurpose carriers) with Groot Cross-Bow.
